BNT: Weekly Wellness #011

An Investment

An Investment

Working out can be a huge investment. You invest your time, money, and short term energy when hiring a personal trainer or going to a gym. However, I am here to tell you that it will be worth it. If you do not invest your time and money now, it will likely hit you 10x in the future. While it’s never too late to start your fitness journey, the sooner you start the better. There are days you will not want to go, there will be hard workouts, there will be days you go home exhausted. But I have never heard someone regret getting healthier. In fact, these hard workouts and feelings of exhaustion will make other chores of life feel like a walk in the park. If you can go into the gym when you do not want to and run on tired legs or lift weights that make your arms feel like noodles, you have already won the day. Monotonous chores seem less daunting, words hurt less, and at the end of the day you are left with more energy to do things you enjoy. I once heard someone say, “If you do not invest in your wellness now, you’ll invest in your illness later.”

If you’re reading this, I hope you win your Monday and have a great day!
